The new embassy building, a contemporary interpretation of Korean vernacular constructions, has been awarded with the “Korean Architecture Excellence Award” in the “administrative buildings” category.
The Water City Aquatis is a new scientific cultural center dedicated to fresh water and to the protection of the Environment. As a unique project in reinforced concrete, Aquatis settles on the existing platform of the P+R Vennes in Lausanne, facing many challenges . Within a circular plan, the museum hosts an interactive tour through the 5 continents with 2 main aquariums, a tropical forest and a restaurant.
The structure is defined by a frame of pillars and vertical cores. It is designed to accomodate up to 40 aquariums and terrariums including the 2 major ones of respectively 1'000'000 and 425'000 liters of water.
