The Cornavin station, which is the nerve center of transportation in the Geneva region, has undergone an extensive refurbishment program to accommodate the 120,000 daily passengers. Behind its facades of the 1930s, the worksite faced many challenges related to the strict criteria of a project management in urban area and to the classified historical building.
The design of the load-bearing structure considers different construction stages to ensure the continuity of the traffic and operations of the station throughout the duration of the works.
