The Flâneur d'Or, awarded by Pedestrian Mobility Switzerland with the support of the Federal Roads Office, recognizes exemplary pedestrian projects in Switzerland.
The complex consists of two two-storey residential buildings located in a village setting. The buildings are characterized by wide balconies running along the entire facades' length and covered by large roof overhangs with integrated terraces.
The hybrid timber-concrete load-bearing structure combines timber frames for the gable facades, prefabricated concrete elements for the balconies, hybrid timber-concrete slabs inside and timber roof trusses. The structural timber is exposed, thus enabling the project to benefit from all the material properties and therefore enhancing its sensory qualities.
